Sega gave up in the video-game machine market last Wednesday, announcing it will stop making its Dreamcast console March 31. Sega, which has been losing big money over lagging Dreamcast sales, is instead embarking on a fresh strategy of focusing on its strong lineup of game titles.
The Tokyo company will make games for rival Sony Corp.'s PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Co.'s Game Boy Advance. Sega also plans to make games for Microsoft Corp.'s upcoming Xbox console and Nintendo's GameCube, as well as for Dreamcast.
What's your position on this? Happy that you might see Shenmue or our favorite hedgehog on the Playstation 2 in a graphically-enhanced way? Happy to get a DC for $89? Or you just plain hate Sega?
