So what's your max resolution?

I'll be the first to admit I have a huge-ass monitor. A 22" NEC FE1250; it's bigger than my TV. I was kicking around at 1600x1200 for a while, as that was the max my GeForce 3 was up to doing for some reason, but after going to a 9600 the slider suddenly had a lot more resolutions to choose from. Unfortunately half of them wouldn't display properly unless I put the refresh rate at 60Hz, which just plain hurts my eyes. So today I idly cruised by the NEC website and found that they had kept all the drivers for their monitors available for download. So now that I've installed the new, updated drivers every display mode I choose comes out fine.

Anyway, to cut to the point I can now set my display to 1920x1200 (Widescreen, yes) before I dip below 70Hz. My absolute max resolution is 1920x1440. (60Hz) Right now I'm at 1792x1344, 75Hz. I'd do 1856x1392 (72Hz) but unfortunately the left side starts to flicker slightly when I do.

So how about the rest of you? Any huge-ass deathy monitors amongst you? LCD or CRT, whatever, though if anybody has an LCD that can do resolutions like mine... man, that's a sweet LCD.

P.S. Yes, I'm bragging, but I just found out I have something to brag about. Cut me some slack, eh? 😛

I picked this thing up for $300 about 3 years ago. I think I've upgraded my computer twice since I've bought it.

It's only truly expensive if it doesn't last. Believe me, I'm going to run this monitor into the ground before I stop using it.

And for refference, I have $160 to my name right now. 😛

Also have a NEC FE1250, nice monitors eh? 🙂

(Got a Radeon 9700 Pro though, so I can get a higher res if I'd want, but most games don't support that)

1600X1200 on my Dell 2001FP. LOVE this thing.

Man, I love having 16X12 again, after suffering at 1280X1024 (16X12 ran at 60Hz on my old CRT and it killed my eyes).

Incredibly nice monitors. The only better that I've seen are a series made by Hitachi primarily made for MRI machines and other high-res medical imaging. My friend acquired one for free in non-working condition, though a simple inspection of the inside showed it was just a blown fuse. One 50¢ fuse later he had a monitor that had a max res above 70Hz of 2048xGod only knows. That thing was so frikkin' amazing. 21" viewable. As far as I know he still has it. I should ask him what the max is on it.

My 19" KDS AV-195TF Monitor has a max resolution of 1920 x 1440 (I forget the max refresh rate at this resolution).

It's way too high-res for me, though. Things get small an painful... 🙂 I run at 1280x1024.

1920x1080@85*i can't stand anything less*, 21incher that i got off ebay for $150 w/shiping. not the real resolution, of course, but if functions at it.

19" Gateway EV910
My normal setting is 1600x1200 @ 75Hz.
Max it'll do is 2048x1536 @ 60Hz, everything is crazy small, and flickery. 😛

at too high a res crts start running outa phosphore dots, so don't push it🙂
1024x1280? whatever the lcd is😛 crt same.

i have a viewsonic pf795 (19"). i run at 1600x1200@85hz normally and 1920x1440@60hz when watching hi-def movies. thats my max. it can goto 2048x1536@60, but thats just 1920x1440 with virtual desktop (it pans when you hit an edge)

JBlaze

1600x1200 on my Sun Microsystems GDM20D10 (21" Trinitron tube) is what I run. I dunno what the max is...it's pretty high.

BTW, I got it for $15 😀

My monitor will sync to 2048x1536 @ 60 hz (of course I don't use it at that).

Right now I'm running 1400x1050 @ 85 hz.

19" NEC Multisync FE-950+.

Viper GTS

I have a Hyundai ImageQuest Q910 that I use at 1600x1200@85hz, which is my monitor's max resolution. I imagine I could make it go higher than that with something like Powerstrip but if I need more desktop space I just use virtual desktops.
