After much consideration, I think I'd have to go with Operation Wolf as my all-time favorite game to play at the arcade. Heavy nostalgia here, but this might've been what got me into games in the first place. It just never seems to get old for me.

There is a close second though, because Time Traveler was such a cool game as well that I didn't even care about it costing me a dollar to play, it simply amazed me back when I was a youngin'.

Notables: Gauntlet, TMNT: Turtles in Time, The Simpsons, NBA Jam, and Time Crisis 2.

bumped because I found this recently and it brought back members, considering I died like 5,000 times in that game heh.

Gauntlet- I dropped out of middle school and played Gauntlet all day on one quarter.

1) Space Harrier on one of those hydraulic seat cabinets. It was the first arcade game I have ever beaten back in '86

2) Daytona USA in those crazy multi monitor setups that fancy arcades used to have. Those were riots.

3) Good ol' Street Fighter 2. competitive fun!

Some other good stuff include all the Konami and Capcom beat 'em ups (Simpsons, TMNT, X-Men, Knights of the Round, AvP..etc), Outrun, Gauntlet, Gyruss...so many!

How could I forget about that X-Men arcade. Man I loved being Colossus and using his mutant power. ROAR!!!!!

Oh OK I think I know my favorite one. It was the WWF's Superstars.

"Assault"

It's an overhead-view tank game from the mid- to late-80s. You control the tank with two joysticks. e.g. To strafe, pull both sticks to the same side - FUN!

Hands down Arkanoid. I've always wanted one of the vintage flat table Arkanoid games. Brings me back many happy memories.
