back during the XC season in HS we did 12 x 400m repeats at mile pace. so I ran 12 400's at 1:05 - 1:10. I think I hit around :67 on most of them

yeah, worst workout ever. i think we all died.

Stayed up all night, ran a 8k road run that morning, and had hockey try outs that night. Pretty brutal day.

I used to swim between 5000 and 6000 yards daily (between 200 and 240 pool lengths.)
On top of that, 3 days per week I'd lift weights for about an hour in the morning.

I don't work out any more, I think I burned myself out in my teen years.

Besides childbirth...???

The first work out with a personal trainer 8 weeks ago. He was gauging what I could do.

The upper body seemed like a breeze to me at the time but and i REALLY pushed myself a LOT... then i could not lift my arms for four days and ran a slight fever the whole time.

Went on a 5 day boat SCUBA trip off the coast of Texas. We did 4 dives a day and had some relatively strong currents at surface.

I though they were going to need a streacher to get me off the boat.

The full body workout I did after taking a year off. The workout wasn't that bad. Actually it felt really good, was a workout I use to do all the time. The only problem was the next week was hell. The next 2 days were not that bad, well bad, but not as bad as the third day. Couldn't sleep because I was so sore when my body touched anything. The last 2 days after that were like the first 2..

Man that was hell :(

break anything?
Actually, I did, but nothing major. I broke the bone in my fingertip of my left ring finger -- that very end bone, and it broke the long way from tip to joint, sorta like a deck of cards being cut.

I just taped it to the finger next to it and kept playing. Wasn't even that painful and X-rays didn't show any serious damage. It did heal a little bit off, though, as if you were to push half a deck of cards just slightly over the edge of the bottom half. I may get some arthritis in that fingertip later on, I guess.

Probably paddling through the shorebreak to surf large sandbar shifty beachbreak North Oregon coast Winter Surf. That's enough to do about anyone in regardless of conditioning;)

A few months ago I was in Seattle and since it was the first time I'd been near a mountain in 2 years, I decided to go for hike while I could. I did the mystic lake trail, which was 16miles round trip and 4000' elevaation gain in about 8 hrs (which included all food, water and photo breaks). I was quite tired afterwards, but felt absolutely awesome.

21 km row on the water in the morning, then a 10 km row on a machine in the afternoon, and then a 10 km run right after that, and then a 40 minute ab workout.

That was the year I did bad in school.

Spent an entire evening from 8pm-4am attempting to dunk on a hoop in a private gymnasium. I had to build a 6" ramp and probably dunked 100 times in that one evening (right hand was bleeding raw and blood blistered from the repetion of rim grabbing). When I would start losing my spring I would take a 10lb medicine ball and skip around in circles.

I literally couldn't get out of a chair, that I fell asleep in, the next morning.

Besides that... 18 mile hike to 8000 ft.

Also pouring a drainage swale with manually mixed quickrete... lol

300 meter hill sprints up the steepest hill in about a 20 mile radius. UHG! We did around 12 of them with just enough rest in between to jog back down the hill. That was misery.

Moved 30 yards of black dirt by wheelbarrow from the street to my backyard in two days. Thought I was going to die.

some sort of VO2MAX workout for cross country. high pace, low rest, testing your limits of pain.

I used to have "strength shoes." They are shoes made to increase your vertical jump, among many other things. They basically have a platform on the front of the shoes that forces you to stand on the front of your feet. Anyways, the advanced workouts they have for those things are ridiculous.
