So...what's the deal with Dell's 1907FP?

As above - a new model introduced. What IS it?

Comparing the specs, we see:

1905fp: 20ms refresh 'typical' (sure looks like 25ms to me, though)
1907fp: 8ms refresh

1905fp: 250 nit brightness
1907fp: 300 nit brightness

1905fp: 800 to 1 contrast ratio
1907fp: 500 to 1 contrast ratio

1905fp: 170/170 viewing angle
1907fp: 140/130 viewing angle

---------

Hmmm....lower contrast, lower response time, narrower viewing angles. Suppose this is a TN panel on the new model?

Yeah, 1907FP=TN. Uses this panel probably: AUO M190EN04 V5

The panel PDF spec sheet says 6-bit + FRC so it will have inferior color to the 1905FP also. Should be quite fast though. The 1905FP also employed an 8 ms P-MVA at one point, which IMO, was a much better choice.
