I've had Time Warner cable for about 2 years now, and it's stuck at 3mbps

meanwhile, everyone else is bragging about 5Mbps and 7Mbps . . .

I feel left behind :eek:

fastest i could find in my area

ties my cable, though its $5/month cheaper

since its 1 dynamic IP, wtf does that mean?

<=== DSL n00b

Dynamic means your ip will change every once in a while. You don't have a set one. In the plans, you'll see ones that included static ips that will stay the same forever. That means you can hst website and such because when people type in an address, they'll always be redirected to you.

ideally yes. I have dynamic IP but my ip has not changed in the past year, they tie it into my MAC address. comcast cable btw.

I would consider high speed internet as a very important priority for where to live.

Comcast has been telling me about 6MB cable HSI for months now. Still stuck on 3MB/256KB.

How much is that 6Mbps?
