Question So what's the best gaming CPU these days?

It would be nice to see AMD get the X3D chips to clock the same as the non 3D chips. Then they would have a world beater CPU. I hear what they are saying about the core clock regression because of voltage but that seems like something they should be able to solve by Zen 5.

Most recent motherboards/bios have that issue fixed. I have 8 7950x, all with memory like I posted, and never once have I had an issue with memory. These are all original bios, and date from when Zen 4 came out until a few months ago.

IMO its always been a non-issue except in a small minority of cases (like 0.1%)

I enabled Expo and it works fine so far. I also verified the SOC voltage is at 1.27v under auto settings, which is under the 1.3v AMD mandated since the issues happened. I then noticed the CPU VDDIO / MC voltage was about 1.39 under auto, so I just turned that down to 1.25 to see how it would do, and so far so good! Thanks.
