Pretty soon all these cool and not-so-cool on-going movie saga's are all coming to an end.

The Matrix
LOTR
Star Wars

So, with the movie industry currently lacking any creativity and depending on sequels and remakes, what's next to pique our interest and cause undying anxiety waiting for it's release?

I guess we have Spiderman 2 and X-Men 3 but, to me at least, they don't even hold a candle to the excitement I've experienced waiting for the likes of The Matrix and LOTR.

hudson hawk 2 🙂

i don't think i've waited with more anticipation for any movie than for the matrix reloaded. i was pretty excited waiting for empire strikes back and return of the jedi but i was a lot younger and i probably was as excited for pac-man on the atari 2600 as i was for those movies. the matrix was a much deeper anticipation.

hollywood will just have to be as creative as it was bringing us the matrix. or bringing a wonderful trilogy of books to the big screen.

EDIT: lol. seems i'm not fast enough with the hudson hawk 2 joke 🙂

You've always got Batman 5... starring "Cleric John Preston" Christian Bale (who will be perfect for Bruce Wayne, IMHO)

That might be good, but I'm looking for a new franchise of films. Something new and exciting.

It's gonna suck when these saga's' are over. 🙁

MORE HARRY POTTER MOVIES YAY

Weed whacker man!
John Titor story - a look back, er forward.
Son of Rocky - Growing up gay in a hostile family
Office space 2 - He gets a real job after the .com boom
Remake of Superman 3 - better looking robots
CDW makes a full feature film on Fred!

There are some good ideas here. Some director in training will make these and I won't even get any credit.

True, except that the matrix trilogy has fal,len apart ni a tattered mess with the last one. My love for the trilogy and my hopes for it are dashed. So I have no doubt that X3 will be better than Matrix3. X2 sure was better than Mpoo. I mean 2. No, I do mean poo.

Actually they're gonna make a new trilogy and jessica lynch is the main star. In this movie she has a massive multi-million person fanbase and yet she fights crime by doing the wrong thing. Her gun will jammed, she'll get lost, etc. Kinda like inspector gadget but without the gadgets.

Hudson Hawk II: The Search for Spock?

That would just be dumb. 😉
Yeah, I guess you're right. It would be silly to even attempt to follow up such a sublime masterpiece as Hudson Hawk. 😛

Im sure things will be just the same as always.

I mean, there wasn't always a promise of star wars after return of the jedi. When matrix hit i dont remember anyone ever mentioning there would be a sequal. LOTR wasn't always around.

How many armageddons were there before the matrix, how many daredevils came out before X-men.

We'll just go back to watching crappy movies that go nowhere until something worthwile comes down the line again.

I really like this whole lets record 3 movies and release them 6-9 months apart thing. Much better than waiting 2 years for a sequal.

Agreed. And in the case of the matrix trilogy now I don't feel like I'm waiting at all, since it's a given the third one will suck [balls].

Somebody needs to put Edgar Rice Burroughs "John Carter - Warlord of Mars" series on film properly.
