space invaders suck. This is why you should always eat onions for lunch. I opted for red beans and rice today and that seemed to work well.

I just recently received my license from the NRC, which got me a promotion and a large pay raise.

I bought a new Ford truck.

Just bought MOH Pacific Assault, not too impressed so far.

Thinking about upgrading my computer parts.

The GF and I had yet another argument just about a month ago. Unlike before, when she said "Don't call" until she sent me a letter explaining all the things that were wrong, but then she'd call after a couple of days and we'd just go on like before, THIS TIME, there's been absolutely nothing for a full month now. No talking, no letters, nothing.

I'm actually relieved, because I've known for quite some time that we were just not compatible. But I didn't know how to break it off, 'cuz I was afraid I'd really hurt her (and also because I'm a coward). So my solution was a small bit of sabotage (I didn't remain seated at our table at the restaurant, to "guard her leather coat", while she went to the restroom, despite the fact that I said I would, and it was obvious that I hadn't kept my word). That resulted in our final argument.

So I'm relieved that it's apparently over. But I spend far too much time at the computer (here at home, and at work), researching the next system I'll build (even though I really don't need a new system).

My life. Sigh.
