boxing day is tomorrow, no?

I'll be working... Monday is the official Christmas observance at my company, so I can have another shift of working from home while collecting double time.

I feel a little bad in retrospect. I was pretty stingy with Christmas gifts this year because money was tight, but it probably won't be tight anymore after I effectively get an extra week's pay from holiday doubletime for Christmas / New Year's.

Boxing Day is tomorrow and for the past few years the deals have been shit. Not worth going out to buy anything but I will be out anyway with a few friends to view the madness.

Since when does Boxing day belong to the Yanks. The rest of the world got their traditional boxing day sports events especially in the football and cricket.

Since I have it off, I'll probably read all day because my mother bought me a few late 1800's early 1900's electrical engineering books.

Since Boxing Day here is a Statutory Holiday, I will be at home relaxing. Maybe I will visit my friend. We'll see how my day goes.

Christmas Day still... Watching Doctor Who last season marathon, then it's the Christmas special. Doing this while I am working at home for B-job.

Probably more working tomorrow on actual Boxing Day. No shopping - don't have anything to buy that I "need" or want that much.

Sending my boyfriend out to buy chicken, onion, eggs and flour to make chicken noodle soup, since I have a horrible cold. He doesn't cook at all, and he doesn't believe that I can make noodles out of flour and egg.

Then, watching some DVDs.

Happy Boxing Day to our members who celebrate that sort of thing.

Happy Boxing Day / Merry Christmas

I just got back from my family's house. Got a pair of nice long pants, which worked out well because I wore shorts and it turns out we were outside in the 55° weather.

Now I'm going to have some coffee, put on some music, and maybe install Debian on my laptop.

Fixing my damn car. Sheared motor mount bolt dropped the motor a couple inches onto the CV boot (well the crank impacted enough to shred both the alternator belt and destroy the CV boot), broke both torque struts (very well known weak point on the pt cruiser), and sent grease ALLLLL over the passenger side of the motor. Thought it was oil for a while.

Got the mount bracket out and old bolt drilled and ez-out got that fucker taken care of, had pulled a new mount bracket at the junkyard on the 23rd, turned out to have a different power steering pump config - but had nabbed the sheared bolt so giggity.

So Boxing Day will be me securing the new bracket (jacking motor up and down to access said bolts), and getting the exhaust/tranny mount back on, passenger side of motor degreased, new belts on, new torque struts in, new CV boot on. I'm considering just going to the yard early as hell to pull an axle just to nab an OEM boot vs just getting a speediboot.

Boxing day is Canadian.

It's a regular Monday for Americans. I'll be starting my new job.

If that is the 26th, then I'm getting my windows tinted and then returning some duplicate gifts to Best Buy.

Might not be a good idea to read those if you are at all electrically inclined.
