Technically the 20" regular screen will be larger (as in taller). 20" measures the diagonal of the screen. So yah.... Im too tired to explain it.

I had a 19 inch samsung that did that, and it was completely useless

4:3 monitors are bigger than 16:9. My 18" 4:3 LCD at home looks bigger than the 20" 16:9 LCD at work. Get both.
