Apparently i'm a 'nef' for starting this thread

What's a nef anyway and why is posting a fun thread like that grounds for being banned?

A nef is a post with no purpose, or to increase post count.

A neffer if a poster that posts nef posts.

Yeah.... that makes sense... ban someone for asking a question. That would say more about the forum itself than the person getting banned, dont you think?

Now this is the classical example of the professional nef post!
Short concise, few keystrokes required, uses multiple forum features (http: link and a cute emoticon) and most importantly in someone elses thread! Never nef in a thread title, it draws too much attention!

Live and learn NOOB!:)

And please don't start a thread asking what a noob is:frown:

It's still better than being a SPIDER.

I'm still curious as to the grounds for banishment of that other thread? Is there a rule that was violated?

well, while it was a slightly amusing thread I think they mods take less ****** from members who aren't Lifers. While I think a lifer would still have gotten the thread locked I don't believe the ban message would have appeared.

Just a mod having a bad day and not wanting to put up with a seemingly useless post. No biggie, move on, nothing else to see here ;)
