So what's a good OC for a Thouroghbred 2600+?

I've got the FSB at 200mhz and a multiplier of 11.5 with Vcore at 1.675 (it ends up around 1.68 on an A7N8X-E Deluxe). Sandra 2004 has it slightly outperforming the Barton 3200+.

This is with a Thermaltake Volcano 12, 1GB of Crucial PC3200, and Thermaltake 480w Silent Purepower PSU. Asus Probe shows a CPU temp of 40c idle and mobo temp of 22c.

I could also use some recommendations for programs to stress the system and see what my 100% load temps are.

Sorry if I asked any stupid questions.

2.3 is about all you'll probably get out of that chip. You can always try for more.

Prime95 :)

Try upping the voltage and seeing how much more it'll give ya.

The default voltage on those chips is 1.65v, right? If that's the cast, definately bump up the voltage to 1.7 or 1.75v and see how far you can go. You may be able to squeeze a little bit out of the chip, and your cooling and idle temps are just fine.

2300 is an excellent OC for your chip. I wish i could approach that... With my DLT3C1800+ i can only hit 2175mhz max.

Id say, keep everything the way it is, stress it to make sure its stable, and be happy with your chip! :D

It crashed after about 30 seconds of Prime95. :( I think it might be my RAM settings...I'll try to figure it out in a day or two. I need to format and install XP Pro, because XP Home isn't able to network with my Mac.
