This, except sell them for $40 later and keep the free toner.

there, save a trip, and a ten-spot :)

not sure what they messed up on the price of the printer though :Q
I bought a toner cart from Databazaar a few weeks ago and when I received it, the plastic wrapper had spilled toner all over it and the cartridge didn't work in my printer. Terrible ResellerRatings too. I should have checked first. To their credit, they did offer me a full refund.

I just bit the bullet and paid $82 for the toner cartridge for my Canon MF5770. I've only tried aftermarket ink cartridges once...and it was a BAD experience. (leaked all over and ruined the printer) As much as I'd LIKE to save $30 or more on the toner cartridge, that one bad experience left me with a terrible opinion of the refillers/remanufacturers of printer cartridges.

OP, while this may get you by for the immediate, you're gonna need a new toner cartridge sooner or later for both printers...unless you buy a dozen of them now and keep the cartridges...
Unless there's been a big change in functionality between the time you bought yours and the newer one, why play the "disposable printer" game?

I dunno, this printer has been sitting there 2 years. . . so I figued I might come out ahead in the "I'm going to stop working eventually" department . . .

Odds are that in two years, they have made some significant changes in the printer. With that in mind, buying a new one may be a good idea. Inquire whether they'll give you a good deal if you buy a new toner cart when you buy the printer. (package deal)

Note - the toner cartridge that comes with the printer has a much lower capacity than the replacement toner cartridges.

Actually, that usually depends on the manufacturer. My Canon came with a "regular" toner cartridge. Ink jets are notorious for this though.
