What do you think will happen in the ME, and world wide? Will this event have any affects on political stability of current Iraq, or anywhere else?

Supposedly, people do want him dead, so it's inevitable. But why? I mean, isn't putting the guy in jail and make him suffer a much better sentence?
 
But where will they jail him? Iraq? If so than you can bet he'll be sprung in a month or so with the superb police force they have there right now. And if he's jailed here in the U.S. who foots the bill? US? You do have a good point though.

 
Nothing will happen. They'll keep killing each other and American troops.
It's not like Iraq has any stability left for Saddam's hanging to destabilize.

QFT. Most of the world will condemn it, both because they object to the death penalty and will claim that the trial was not fair. Life will go on.
 
The Shiites will be happy, and probably celebrate. Some will celebrate by killing Sunnis. The Kurds will be happy, although not as happy as the Shiites since the investigation into crimes against the Kurds wasnt vigourously pursued. The Sunnis will probably be unhappy and protest. Some will do so by killing Shiites.

But most Iraqis simply can't care; there are too many other things to worry about. The death of Saddam should have been a symbol of a new, free Iraq. Instead, its a symbol of the complete disintegration and a bleak future for Iraq.
