So what should I bring to a CC?

My first college class starts Thursday in Sociology, and it's a distance course in which we meet once a week.

So would a standard notebook, pen, pencil do it?

Bring one of them five star notepads that has pockets in the front so you can put the syllabus, worksheets, etc., and bring a mechanical pencil (you don't want to have to get up in the middle of class to sharpen your pencil).

That should be all you need for the first day of class.

Take a voice recorder so you can concentrate on ogling the hot chicks.

I went a whole semester without buyin books for 2 of my classes, though they were computer modelin classes so they werent used too much.

why not? the summer courses are usually condensed and they go thru a lot in a few weeks..

Yah, books suck. I never spent more than 300 dollars a semester on books. Sometimes the library has copies and you can just photocopy the chapters you need at the time. Oh, steal all the good journals and such so your classmates can't use them come research paper time. 🙂
