So what kind of build can I get for $800?

I came here a month ago, but was told to wait it out until august.

Anyway I'm building my brother's computer and need help with a $800 dollar budget(not including monitor).

you should be able to build a pretty good computer for $800 right about now...

Agreed, but unless you tell us it's intended use, we can't recommend parts.

My bad!

ANyway, it's for my little brother....it's mostly for gaming & school, he doesn't need to do 4xAA in 1600x1200 in the newest games, but something descent.

Overclocking isn't much of a concern, especially since I'm building it for him.
