So I have a verbatim dvd+rw drive and I'm starting to use it more. When I bought it everything was 2.4x this and 2.4x that... now I see in mysticman1's new verbatim dvd+rw threads that they are really 2.5x? My dvd burner can hold 2.5x for most of the last portion of the session and even jumps to 2.6x sometimes.
I don't have any 4x dvd+rw media (don't even know if they make it yet) but before I put a disc in it defaults to writing at 4x and then goes down to 2.4x in the burning program... I won't if I got lucky and it's really a 4x drive? Doubt it but this is weird stuff.
Anyone know what's up with this?
