Nintendo Power came out today and was supposed to have a big announcement that they kept under wraps until today. Anyone see an issue or news story?

I got the latest issue a week ago and didn't notice anything big in it. Didn't read it cover to cover though.

I think you're thinking of the "official Nintendo magazine" or something like that. Their big announcement was that they had "exclusive" shots & info on Battallion Wars Wii...but Nintendo beat them to it at the Leipzig Games Conference.

They've finally decided that the whole "Nintendo Power" experiment isn't going to work out, so they're returning to what's tried and true. They will change their name back to "The Nintendo Fun Club" and return to the seven page xeroxed at your local library format.

:Q Nintendo Power is still around? Do they still have the "Howard and Nester" comic strip?

I think that was gone by the time I stopped reading it, in the mid 90's.

I had the first issue of Nintendo Power, with Mario 2 on the cover. Wish I kept it.

I saved all my nintendo powers from the very first issue. They're safely stored away back home :)

I was only a member long enough to get one or two issues before they switched to Nintendo Power.

The Wii has been renamed. It will now be called Fred.

Fred would still be better than Wii

I hate explaining it to people. I was talking to a dude at the UPS store the other day about consoles and he's like, what's the new one that Nintendo is coming out with? "Wii, like W-I-I". They should have stuck with Revolution :p

I received many a copy of Dragon Warrior thanks to the multitude of promotions and my mother calling up Nintendo Power because they screwed up our subscription.

I think my last count was 5 cartridges of the game. Good game.

Wasn't there a mexican, or french, or something, Nintendo magazine that was going to have info on a new Resident Evil game? They said "next issue" and that was well over a month ago...hrm..
