So what is so great about Canon?

Just curious. Canon seems to be making some great stuff, and I know their S1 and S2 have image stabilization. As far as Olympus, I think they made some real crap, but their current stuff is really pretty good in my opinion. Did they just turn off too many customers?

Canon just has a more loyal customer base. Most of the companies have caught up to P&S quality wise, but Canon still produces good reliable products for a reasonable price. Sometimes the competition might be cheaper, but people are willing to pay a bit more knowing they've had a good experience with past products. IMHO.

They are both good.
I bought Canon last time due to their great optical zoom and price.

I just personally hate the plasticy canon stuff... ugh!
