Just because I do not get my news from media outlets doesn't mean I do not get the news. I always hear about the most important things going on at some point. Why even look at it that way? Just because a person isn't filling their head with world news doesn't mean they aren't filling their head with other intellectual pursuits. I wouldn't be able (or want) to have a stimulating conversation with you about the price of tea in China. However, if you want to discuss anything in relation to current technology and it's possible impact on our society, then I could probably keep you pretty engaged.

I never said anything to the contrary. I'm speaking about probability. I don't care that you don't care. But I know that if I didn't seek out news, I wouldn't hear about much. It's sad when someone's carefully researched and thoroughly educated vote weighs the same as my grandfather's because my aunt told him to vote for candidate A.

Voting is such a hack. And what brings votes- money and whoever managed the campaign the best.

This is why I do not vote.

When enough people don't vote, democracy fails to function.
