Imagine if they started drafting and found out that years of playing counter-strike, combined with real military training was creating elite forces of infantry that work extremely well together, calling off shots and maintaining focused under pressure. That would be insane. I see a lot of people making fun of wall hacking and bunny hopping, but you retards must have never watched any of the professional games, where they take the game seriously. You would be impressed if you saw some of the games where the half life tv servers had 2000+ spectators. They work as extremely efficient teams.

Anyways, unless there is a job they are drafting for where you sit in front of a computer 9 hours a day, I would be completely useless in the military in my current condition. That is just the truth, I mean what do they expect from a person who gets paid to spend 9 hours a day in front of a computer. To top it off, my time in front of my computer is part of a defense contractor, so in a way, I am already contributing to the war effort. But, if I had to go, I'd go and chalk it up to another one of life's experiences and try my best.

I think there may be some validity to that... I hadn't played paintball in like 4 years, but I still played counterstrike, and I wasted the other team in 2 on 3, me on the team with 2. One of the people on the other team was ex-Nexy Special Forces too. Later on in the session I wasted the guy who was on my team in the first game too.

I'll be 25, married, and physically impaired. Not much of a worry to me.

Great. So you'll get a nice desk job, and you'll feel guilty because your friends are all going to their deaths.

Remember some of us old fogeys might choose to go back in to straighten up some accounts.

Others of us may not have a choice (officers can be recalled anytime).

The war willnot be like it was 12 years ago. Then it was open field duck hunting. This one will probably be more like Vietnam. Going into the enemies house and cleaning out the vermin. That costs lives.

I think given the fact that I've got a 3 year old son, and a daughter due next month, thus making me the sole source of income, I'd be able to fall under this:

3-A Hardship Deferment - deferred from military service because service would cause hardship upon his family.

Oh, not to mention I'm already pretty high up being a dirty ol' man at the ripe age of 24. All you young whipper-snappers go before me!!!

.....But I supposed I should stop playing evercrack and get back in to CS just in case.....
