so what games will use doom 3 engine?

is it true ID will take another stab at making a sequel for rtcw, i thought they scrapped that
idea and end up releasing the multiplayer playtest for it....
i thought that was a much better game than doom3


there's no advance physics model in id's engine (vs valve source engine) right?

My friend has an athlon xp 1800 and 5700 ultra video card, and he can't run doom 3. i have a 2600 and 5200 ultra 🙁

something's wrong then. both systems should definately be able to play D3, the former at MQ, the latter at low...but it should work...its playable on a p41.5/ti500. oh well


quake 4 will use the D3 engine.

did you try lowering the settings?
640x480 @medium looks fabulous still...

Something is definately wrong with that (first) system. I have an 1800+ and an AIW Radeon 9700 Pro and I can run it at 1024x768 and High graphics just fine. Smooth as silk.

Make sure you apply the config fix though because that makes a huge difference.
