It's the Mexican drink Horchata with rum in it, I don't know if they use actual Horchata, or just flavoring. Horchata's a sweet drink made with rice, milk, sugar, vanilla & cinnamon. Every Mexican place I eat it has it. As for Rumchata I've never had it, but they sell it where I work.

What QueBert says. It's really sweet, cloyingly so, and pretty weak so women love it thinking that they're drinking hard liquor when it's no stronger than most wines. Oh, and it's cream based so enjoy mixing that with anything acidic on a night out.

Rumchata and Fireball has become popular as a "Cinnamon Toast Crunch" variation.

A lot weaker than hard liquor, but at 15% it can still get most people messed up pretty quick. 15% adds up quick if you drink a decent amount.

It's 13.75% as far as I remember. So like I said, smack dab in the middle of wine range. Just think about how much cream you'd have to drink if you want to have the equivalent of even just 3 glasses. bleeeerg. :p

You're doing it wrong if you are drinking entire glasses of something like Rum Chata or any other liqueur.

Yeah, no kidding. I was just responding to QueBert...even my female friends that like the stuff only have a glass at a time.

I've had a few of the trendy new mixed shots with the stuff.

Also used it twice in a french toast recipe. I won't go out of my way to order such shots, but bring the ingredients, I won't turn it down.

If I'm making my own drinks, I'm mostly sticking to harder liquors and non-sweet mixers or other additives.
Or I'm drinking good beer - more often than not, I go that route. :)
