Here is a link to my specs intel's link, I know it only supports DX 8 and no T&L but still alot of games out there don't have such a requirements , so I am looking if some decent games out there can run at a decent level of detail and resloution without looking like a slide show on my laptop.

I didn't purchase my Laptop for gaming but sometimes I feel the need to play a nice FPS game for an hour or so when I am away from home, it would be intresting to see what games my system can handle.

I think you can play any Quake on it because they use OpenGL. Maybe RTCW or Wolfenstein: ET would run on low? Half-Life 2 also has a DX8 fallback mode, as do a lot of games. Unreal TournamentXXXX can also work in OpenGL mode.

So HL-2 has a Dx8 mode, but my GPU doesn't support hardware T&L would that make the graphics not so good, or would it just make it impossible to run the game ? I do have Half-Life2 and it would be sweet If run it on my thinkpad :D I just don't want to install Half-Life 2 and go trough all of the process and the updates and find out it doesn't run :(

Play Dark Force II: Jedi Knight... greatest game EVER.

Then play Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith when you're done :)

No idea about the T&L thing. I don't even know if HL2 uses T&L in the first place.

Wait, here's an interesting article on it. I think DX7 is actually the only one that uses T&L? Not sure...

If only Dx7 uses T&L then why do I keep reading "Hardware T&L capable video card" on the back of alot of DX9 DX8 games , Battlefield Road to rome which I have has that on the back , which stopped me from even attempting to install it (I have it since a long time ago and used to play it on my main rig, and I wish I can find a way to play it on my Thinkpad)
