1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
Gaming and watching movies. Light gaming like TF2,WoW when the expansion comes out, SC2 and D3 when they come out. Maybe COD4 but probably not. maybe age of conan but I hear the requirements are pretty steep and probably out of my price range.
2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
Really depends, if I need to spend more than $700ish I can buy it will just require me to wait a bit longer.
3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
Canada, NCIX specifically.
4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc, etc, etc, you get the picture.
Nvidia fanboy is about it. Don't really care about intel vs amd and I have no clue about HDs so I don't care.
5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
Monitor, keyboard and mouse, speakers.
6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.
No
7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
Default speeds
8. WHEN do you plan to build it?
Prebuilt
So here are the specs. I just went onto NCIX and clicked one of their prebuilt computers then removed the monitor and other stuff I didn't need and then customized it a bit. The main reason I am buying it like that is because they put it together and test that it works. I can build a computer myself but I would rather have it built by a professional. The custom computer thing is the same as buying all the parts, the prices are I mean. They just put it together, so if any of these parts are bad just suggest something thats basically the same price.
