So, what do you think of Nat Turner?

I've been learning about Nat Turner in my African-American history course and we were discussing if he is considered a hero or a villain.

I think he is a villain, his group murdered many innocent women and children because he said God told him to.

What do you think?

In the end, the rebels had stabbed, shot and clubbed at least 55 white people to death.

He was hanged, and then skinned, on November 11.

that is pretty brutal also

Yeah, the white townspeople killed about 200 slaves after this to prevent other slaves from rebelling again.

Like you said, 2 wrongs don't make a right.
