So what do you think of my new site design?

The idea was to make it easy to read, easy to navigate, and generally easy to use. Making it excessively graphical and flashy weren't part of the design goals. It's getting close to finished now, so I thought I'd get feedback before I finalized things.

Note that most other pages besides the main page don't work properly yet, so don't complain if they don't look right. I'm aware of it. Do any judging based on the main page.

Looks clean. On my screen the text takes up less than half of the screen(1600x1200). I don't think it makes it difficult to read, but FYI. I normally prefer the background to be a bit darker though.
