Sleep, haircut and a sub for lunch. I tried really hard to buy something but there was nothing on sale that I wanted.

Went to CC to pick up a digital camcorder and some how ended up with a GR-D370 with horrible reviews. I did get the FAR minDV tapes, but no good since this camcorder is going back. The zr500 was much better from Dell.

JVC pretty much just makes products just for the sake of making products now. I was thinking about selling the camcorder I bought at best buy and getting a zr500 also.

I went to Best Buy at 11:15pm, and just sat around watching catching up on TV shows on my PMP until it opened. I don't usually go to bed until 4am anyway, so I didn't miss too much sleep.
Anyway, I got the $200 Westinghouse 22" LCD Monitor, $20 Canon MP160 All in one printer for my dorm room, $25 Battlefield 2142, $15 Motorola Bluetooth headset for my sister.

Woke up at around 12:00pm, went and picked up my oak/walnut table top that was getting refinished (came out quite nicely). Hit up MicroCenter a couple hours later and picked up a 50 pack of Ghetto Bob's (AKA WinData) DVD-R's and a Belkin USB 11g adapter for my aunt's computer. I was pretty surprised to see MicroCenter really busy at 4:30pm. Usually there's only a few people in there but it was packed. While I was waiting on an answer about a D-Link wifi card, I was BSing with a CSR. They opened up at 5:00am and he's working an 18-hour shift today. Yeesh.

I scored the thanks of my neighbor, because I spent my black friday raking his leaves. He's old, and I felt bad seeing him out there raking every day.

I did absolutely no camping. I arrived at my local best buy at 5:00 AM. The line was a MONSTER!! I still got in fairly quickly. At the best buy I got:
-Portable 10.2' DVD Player ($139)
-Flight Sim. X ($25)
-2 DVDs (My brother got them, but they were cheap)

After this, I went to Staples. I arrived about 5 minutes before it opened. I got in the monster of a line there too. Tons of people were there, but I had no trouble getting everything I planned on getting. I got:
-20 Inch wide screen Samsung LCD, 205 BW ($179)
-Some all in one color printer ($39)
-1 GB flash drive ($7)
-Huge spindle of DVD-R's ($2)
-200 GB HD ($20)!!!
-Nice computer chair (~$59)
-5 phone set (I forget how much. It was orginallyt marked over $100, and it was MUCH less)

I got almost everything I planned on getting. I just could not believe how big the lines were!

How was your BF? And what did you get?

11PM, was #120 in line. I had backup plans. 1 friend was in Emeryville, CA and anther was at Union City, CA who was #30 in line. The friend in Emeryville turned out was nt in line line at all and jumped into the line when it shifted at 3AM and turned out to be #20-#30 and got me a voucher fr the 32" TV. My friend in Union City also got me a voucher and so I joined him instead and gave the other guy an opportunity to sell his TV.

Anyways, turns out they let all the Westinghouses loose at Union City and people grabbed them all before they realized they were foor the ppl with tickets. So they upgraded us to Toshiba LCDs for the SAME PRICE. Wewt. Pwn. Ebay? =)

I was SOOOOO tempted to go to Walmart for the $474 tv, but I decided to skip it and sleep instead. I really would have liked the TV, but I decided it wasn't worth the risk of getting up and NOT getting one.

I guess you really don't have any idea what the Christmas Spirit is about though. :D

I went out with the family to a local tree farm and found a great Christmas tree.

A couple of days ago, thought I'd get down to BB early to get in line and have a shot at the $379 HP laptop, but as Thanksgiving evening approached, thought "screw it." Instead, had a full night's of wonderful rest after gorging/drinking. Stopped by Staples a full mile away a little before noon and wound up getting the last ML-2010 ($39 AR) they had, in addition to the last two 60-pack DVD+R spindles ($2.95 AR/each) they had out front and a few other small things on sale.

I was relieved to find out the DVD+R's were of unexpectedly good quality. The ML-2010 should relieve the HP 930c of most of its B&W duties (refilling carts and making sure the output is just fine is a time-consuming PITA). The laptop will have to wait for later, when I hopefully score better than one w/a measly 80GB drive and GMA 950 video. Wound up happier than I thought after picking up the few things I really needed, rather than impulse shopping myself into any sort of debt. There are sales and hot deals all the 12 months of the year anyway is my logic.

:)

Damn, nice, you got a lot of the stuff I wanted, but couldn't afford (I'm a poor college student). I couldn've gotten them too, I was in line early enough that the people around me actually got tickets for the laptops and HDTVs.

Panasonic Camcorder.....I waited all night for this.....it's not even that great....:( When you turn the light on, the video just lags like hell:( Also, the video is so grainy. This was not worth the time i camped out for.

Home depot:

I got that Saw and drill combo for $49
