Broke up with my SO of 6 years, that was good and bad.
And finally...started enjoying my life a bit more. :D

I know that feeling... 2003 was a rollercoaster year for me too.

In chronological order...

Ended up getting into irreconcilable differences with a business partner... so that business venture ended (on New Years Day 2003 surprisingly... knew it was gunna be a bad year)
Got laid off from my primary job in Feb. So I went from 2 sources of income down to 0.
Left school because I could no longer afford it.
Ended up getting a new job - decent money but no job security.
Broke up with g/f of 6+ years, was kinda a decision I was forced into by her actions.
Ex-gf seamlessly transitions to a new guy (happens to be the guy who later got beat up by the Yankees in the dugout during the ALCS).... and I am still single (that kinda pissed me off, 6 years and bitch doesn't even get upset)

So basically, my New Years resolution for 2004 is to fix all the crap that broke in 2003. Start my own business (no partners this time)
Shore down my job situation (opportunities for promotions in my company that I have been jumping at)
Get a new gf
Enjoy life a little more than be miserable, because I spent a lot of 2003 depressed, and I generally am not the depressed type either.

Nothing, aside from the realization that for my age I haven't accomplished anything that's significant or noteworthy.

doesnt self awareness count for something?

at least you're not taking it for granted.

Graduated from college in the spring.
Got a job in New York City.
Got an apartment with my best friend in the city.

Not too shabby I guess, even though I miss college like anything.

2003 was definately a year to go down in my books:

- Finally ended the apartment life and bought our first house
- Graduated from a technical college with an Associates degree
- Bought a new car for myself, a Jeep Cherokee
- Bought a new car for my wife, a Ford Focus
- Had our first child, Ian

Overall, an expensive year :wine:

Actually worked all year in the same job. Oh and also bought a house and added a son to the family.

I got myself groomed for next year. I also got the opportunity to have preliminary experience in my field of interest.

I look forward to next year being the best, especially with significant events occurring this January.
