Since the day after Thanksgiving is the start of buying season, what are you getting? I have no clue what I want to buy for the parents.
 
I usually don't buy my parents anything, but instead spend money on my younger siblings. I'm hoping to buy them a PS2 this year if my student loans come in time.
 
Linh, i don't think you are supposed to be throwing those student loans on ps2's...LOL. anyways, i have no idea what i am getting them. maybe i'll just save the money and get some better birthday presents for everyone in my family.
 
I'm thinking of getting my parents a George Foreman grill. I have one, and it's the handiest appliance I own🙂 Cooks a damn good burger in about 5 mins.
 
Bobby Ribs, that was pretty much my theme last christmas. Everything I had gotten for my family was a free gift for something I had bought myself. I felt pretty bad but uhh... i got over it.

I bought my one of those when they first came out as a Father's Day gift for my old man. It was meant to be a little bit of a gag gift. But, my parents love the damn thing. It seems that every time I am over there it's either being used, or it's sitting on the counter drying after my mother cleans it.


I am buying my parents a new VCR.
 

First, I don't do shopping, so I do this:

I give my nieces/nephew money.
I pay for my sisters trip from Tenessee to Englewood Fla.
I get my brother and his german wife a basket of goodies sent from Germany.
For my parents, I am getting them a new computer. I'm building this one for them.
Miscellaneous gifts for non-family members... either gift certificates or mail order.

For myself... Haven't a clue.

All told, I'm looking at close to 3k this year... and that without doing any shopping!

A keg and 5 lap dances! WOOOOHOOOO going to be a Mary Christmas!
