So what ARE Comcast's actual speeds

I see people talking on here all the time about getting 6 or 8 Mbps for the regular $42.95/month, but on their website it still states that the regular plan is 4 Mbps, and for $10/month more you can get 6.

So what are their real speeds? I pay $42.95/month and just tested my connection at 7413 Kbps. I'm not complaining.

I routinely get over 8 meg, but I am paying the extra $10 a month.

Best part is it's 100% expensed to the g/f's employer, so no money for me.

Now if only they'd get off their asses & bump us to 10/1...

I get 4M down 300k up on average in Atlanta. I should be getting 6M down but I am just happy my up is over 6k like it was until a couple weeks ago.

I usually get 7-8/768 for $43 because I have all the TV crap. No blocked ports so that?s nice I can run a decent web server off of it.

Not sure of the exact conversions, but I get about 1MB/S download, and 96KBPS upload. Not it the format you are talking about, just in regular format, like if you are watching a bit torrent download.

That is 8 Mbps down and 768 Kbps up.
