there were a lot of compromises made in MBA. the question is were they necessary?

looking at the innards do you think apple had to eliminate ports, slots, speakers to keep its size?

ZIF connector on the HDD, interesting.

If I were Apple, I would have added an ExpressCard slot and Stereo Speakers, plus Mic Input, Digital I/O, and a 4-pin Firewire jack. And what the heck, another USB port. But then Apple is leading the way with the Air's design, so they had to have something really spiffy I guess. I'll hold out for Rev 2.
