and we see a guy selling "The meaning of your first name, history of your name, its root and the top 25 characteristics..all printed on your choice of backgrounds......" being pitched. We wander over to see the crap being sold (you never know what you'll find at a flea market.....bought a first edition, first printing of Tom Clancy's Hunt For Red October for $2 from a guy with stacks of old books).

He's using a DOS based program to do the search and generate the text and prints it out on a Lexmark laser printer. I ask him what kind of computer he has.........just curious ya know.

He spouts..."It's a $24,000 computer." He's beaming proudly......thinks he's talking to a nitwit. "$24K?" I say. (I think to myself I haven't seen ANY computer for $24K except for something akin to a mainframe these days....heck, even Alienware and Voodoo PC's top-end computers are $10K and under........).

I take a closer look and see it's a Packard Bell PC as he proceeds to boast, "It's a PII 350MHz with 24GB of memory and has a lockdown feature.....soemthing you can't do on just any computer. The software alone cost $10K."

His name-root software sells for around $99 all over the net, and his computer looked like a PII 350, worth about $100.

We laughed out loud.........couldn't restrain ourselves.....and staggered away as we almost fell on our knees in laughter. Always wonder why people try to make themselves more important in other's eyes by lying about what they have? Because that person eventually comes out looking like no more than a fool when someone who knows what he's talking about hears.

I love flea markets.

And I crack up over those folks selling the name history crapola. My name is bastardized Polish/Czech. Good luck! Bwahahahaha
