so it isn't really saying much. At least around here it seems, where the IHOPs are pretty much trash.

I don't understand. Is this the first time you've gone out to eat, or the first time you paid with a credit card? i get the same questions almost everywhere I go. They ask something like "Would you like to include a tip" or something along those lines.

Edit - Or you can just say "I left it on the table"

Kansas City must have a good GM or something. Each Denny's here is clean, great food, and service is always friendly. Been to about 3 different locations around the metro and haven't had a bad experience yet.

We ate breakfast at the Denny's in Victoria BC this summer while on vacation (it was close to our hotel) and the experience was nauseating. The walls near our booth and all chairs in the vicinity were dripping with pancake syrup and there were about ten thousand sugar ants working diligently to clean it up. The manager seemed neither upset nor surprised about the situation and was in no particular hurry to get it cleaned up. He sent someone over with a cloth to make a half-hearted effort to wipe it up, but instead of moving customers and closing down the area while it was cleaned, he just kept seating people next to the mess. I guess the entertaining show of watching someone mash ants around on the wall while they were eating breakfast was considered free entertainment. Sad thing was, the restaurant was almost empty (no big surprise), so there was no need to have anyone in that area at all.

I see nothing wrong with the question. Maybe if she worded a bit differently you would've felt better about the situation.

Overpriced, crappy, bad service for almost all the so. cal. denny's.

One time I went to a Sam Woo resturaunt, and the server came out running after we left the biulding saying "Why you give me no tip?"

WTF. There was a reason, because she didn't serve us well, never came when we called her, never refilled our water, and gave us the wrong orders.

Seriously, there were multiple bugs inside the hot water container and the worst part is, the server kept avoiding our table while we tried to flag him down to show it to him even when he was at the table directly beside us. I went to the counter and had to nearly grab the manager to show him. Guess what, he wasnt very shocked at the discovery. I had sworn off Denny's years ago after finding a cooked roach in my scrambled eggs, the legged kind not the stoner kind.
Imagine if I were a lawyer.
Denny's = dirty
stay away from that cess pool excuse of a resturaunt.

What the crap? Did you take your meds today?
