Anyway, don't have much to brag about so I figured I'd give a shout out to anyone loosing weight and say keep it up!

Down from 340 in June to 265 now - pants size drop so far from a 52/54 (depending on pants) to a 44. 3xl to xl shirts. . .

I'll go back to eating my one lean pocket and apple now :p

The first 40 lbs came off uber fast - basically I've been using an ipod app called 'fitday' - it is a calorie journal. I've stopped drinking all calories no matter what. Then I've reduced my caloric intake to less than 2k a day (varying from 1600 to 2000) depending on the day. Then I have stopped taking my car to work - commuting 10 miles daily rain or shine on a bike. Then I spend 5 hours a week doing yoga and spin classes (3 hours spin one week / 2 hours yoga - alternating the next week). I just recently started the yoga, before that it was spin and ellipticals. I picked up yoga for strength/ flexibiity. . . (absolutely love it now). . .

I'm also jogging about 5 miles a week now. . .(a mile at a time - I still suck at the jogging).

I've also started going on longer bike rides on weekends and I'm up to 40 miles. . . (when I first got on the bike, I barely made it around the block).

Thats it. . .

I may post pics this weekend - I tended to avoid cameras at my heaviest, and still am not accustomed to it. I may just get a pic of my standing in my 'fat' pants. . .

just don't starve yourself when the rate of weight loss begins to decay.

Yea, the slowing is maddening. The 10's of pounds were exciting to watch fall off - now it looks like I'm around 2lbs per week on average. My goals are:

End of November - around 258
End of December - around 250
End of January - around 242 or so
End of Feb - 235
End of March - 230
End of April - 225

At the 225 mark, I've committed to start running hard and heavy - hopefully the jogging/biking now is getting me ready for that.

That should bring off the next 55 lbs down to 170. My goal is to be there by the 'next' xmas.

My whole theory of weight loss so far has been - if I want to be 170 lbs, I need to eat what a 170 lb man needs. Since the average american needs around 2k a day, and I'm in my mid 30's - I've been sticking to that.

good for you episodic!

I have been losing excess weight, too.

I went from a pant size of 48 to 44 in 3 months.

I am doing the slow weight loss thing.

If you plateau on the loss, try swimming.
But shit man, you should be damn grateful for all that massive weight in a short time.

Any hot chicks yet?

Losing, not loosing. I have few pet peeves, but that is one of them.

Oh, and good job!

Congrats. That's definitely a little fast so it's good that you're slowing down. The 2.0-2.5 lb/wk range is a good place to be at your weight now. How tall are you, by the way?

And yes, I also recommend you start doing some lifting. It might not make the number go down faster, but you're going to look a hell of a lot better at every weight if you start lifting consistently now. Cut out a half hour of cardio on the days you work out and lift instead.

I'd also love to see a pic - in the fat pants sounds like a good idea if you're uncomfortable. Be proud :D

Nice! I need to do something myself, and fast. I feel pretty lethargic and drained most days, and I know it's my terrible eating habits and current lack of movement. I'm about 270 now and want to get down as low as possible, but I'm more about FEELING good then pure numbers so I'm not sure. I know I want to wear a 34-36 pant again, so about 180-200lbs I suppose would be that.
