Dave almost had me convinced that the only jobs left were at walmart and McD servicing the illegals and unemployed...

They forgot to mention those Computer jobs are in India. $15,000 India is equivalent of $45 to 50K U.S.

Theres ALOT more to high tech than computers dude. And I find it funny, you mention a PhD in Computer Engineering. If they were worth a salt, they'd work as a prof and do research. Almost no one works in private buisness with PhDs. Most only do masters. I can pull up many different types of programming and engineering jobs. You like make a mountain out of a mole hill(what outsourcing currently amounts to, all though it could eventually get alot worse).

perhaps all the Comupter Enginers that are house painting need to move to a more techno centric city? Move out of the boonies and move to the telecom corridor in DFW, or get to the Seattle area. Or move to So Cal [if you can afford it].

The only people that cry that there are no 'high tech' jobs in the US are the people that are upset over low level IT work being outsourced.

There's plenty of high tech jobs available for competent people.
