This guys got it all, big tail, loud exaust, NOS (at least the stickers on his windows said he has it) Light turns green, he is really slippin the clutch to keep it revin. I lose him fast, but back off.
Funny , but he is getting pullled over about a 1/4 mile down. Rice is nothing for my GT. Good thing I've got nothing to prove! ;)

"for my GT" is too vague.

In the new age - simply saying GT means owning a Ford GT40 - which I highly doubt you own right now. If you own a mustang GT - please state that.

Other GT's - Carrera GT ;)

Some of those guys really make me wonder. Either they just have no concept of what a true V8-powered sports car can do, or their levels of self-delusion are unsurpassed.

Bah.. Vee8 schmee8. :p

When I get my Z, I plan on eating ricers for lunch all day long.. and maybe some good ole Detroit potmetal, too. At least after I can sink some money into things that matter. ;)

I can't help it.. Every time I'm in front at a red light and I see a ricer, I gotta race.. Though, I let them start off ahead of me just to blow by them. My Z28 has had a few things done to it (no forced induction), but it doesn't matter much. I haven't seen a ricer that I can't completely blow by within 1-2 seconds.

I love it when the contest ends before it finishes.. I have Borla catback and it's a fvcking loud exhaust. I was at a 3-lane intersection once with a ricer civic to the left of me (sounded like it had a supercharger) and a ghetto ricer nissan something (sounded like it had engine problems) to the right of me. They were both revving and revving and revving.. so I figured it was my time to chime in. I revved it up to 5000rpm (much louder.. AND DEEPER). Neither car took off at the red light.. it was as if they were saying 'after you.'

They can gloat in their gas mileage.. but I'll gladly pay a few extra $$$ for my gas for the pleasure I get out of each tank.

Saw a supercharged Saleen in one of the stalls at my dad's workplace. Beautiful.

Oh haha, your new mustang will chew up most ricers and leave them overcooked :D

He bought a new 03 GT, since nobody else has mentioned that yet in the thread.

I think probably the reason a lot of ricers think their car is fast is because they've not been in one that really is. I know that my max is pretty fast, but not until I'd been in Mill's Mustang last year did I truly appreciate the blistering performance of a nice V8. There was no comparison. Ricers just don't have a clue :)

A lot of ricers just want to race even if they know they're gonna lose. So losing like that isn't a big deal. They put money into it and want to run. It's always funny when they get caught though.

I've never seen a true ricer "not mind" losing, but that's just me :)

Idiots who get caught street racing should have their licenses revoked for 5 years. Obviously they are not responsible enough to be allowed to share the roads with other law abiding citizens.

I dunno, I think most ricers realize their cars aren't that fast, they just do it for fun. The other day I was riding with my friend in a 626 and we were trying to get this M3 to race us. We knew we would lose, but it's still fun to see the M3 just smoke the hell out of you. :D

Only if you put a V8 in it.
