So this 13 year old at my school.. *With more links now*

Why does one of his notes statw "Is our altruistic gene depressed by our society?"

We are the most giving society on this planet. Sounds like some pro-government propaganda spewed by his teacher.

you know you're a geek when your blog is all about doing your schoolwork.

judging by his handwriting, he's probably brilliant and borderline austistic.

That's some big handwriting. Not a very efficient note taker, nor can we judge the thoroughness due to the fact we don't know what was taught in class.
Basically, this thread gets a big wtf.

There's actually an "official" lecture notes that they sell in the student store, and those run about 3 single spaced typed pages everyday..

I was about to sign his guest book and ask him a bunch of questions like

1. Are you proud of having your social health severly damaged?
2. Does your bird have a nest?
3. How many people do you think you're better than?

He's 13, he's in college. If you're that smart, you don't need notes.

I received a B on my Mathematics mid-term, which I am extremely happy about. Dr. Murphy said the average for this class was the lowest average he has ever seen in any of his classes. He has been teaching for 20 years.

I received 95 points out of 200, and the average was 87, which was set as the new B-minus.

Not bad, not that great either.

How good is your social health? Relative to a 13 year old mind you, I don't think it's fair to judge his social health at this stage of his life, although it could certianly never live up to what might have been had he not been so accelerated. He makes a website and shares information that aids learning for free. I'd say that's a pretty noble thing to do for a 13 year old.

If I could have started college at 13, and done well (I'm not doing well where I'm at now), I sure as heck would rather do that than waste time away in high school.

Uh... His math class is 32A at UCLA, thats part one of the two part accelerated Calc classes. Most schools have the 3 class calc, and the 2 class accelerated calc. Id say its pretty damn great for a 13 year old. Its atleast extremely impressive. Considering the number of people that graduate from college without taking calc classes(liberal arts, fine arts, etc), then those that do take them, the majority do not get anywhere near A's. I must say I wish I had math professors that curved like this kids professor.
