If the mobile internet service is unlimited... they won't have any reason to maintain the alambric Internet service.

The land line is unlimited unlimited, the mobile one is unlimited but we'll whinge like hell if you go over 16gb and maybe throttle you if you don't grovel enough.

What I can see from this is that fiber can die and let the airwaves take over.

Not really seeing it right, then. The airwaves can only hold so many concurrent users, and they can also get congested. None of that may matter to you, personally, out in the country. But it's a real issue.

You just have a lousy land connection.
