thought I broke it......but I didn't I was able to fix it. Good thing too, it specs out at 15k on the sun website. This thing looks pretty cool too.

Whoa calm down there. I made a few typos there and didn't see them before I sent the message out. Kind of random I know, but what am I supposed to do? Go tell my boss the "funny" story about how I almost broke my 5 minute old workstation? I just felt relieved and had to tell someone. By the way, get laid or something. You have too much tension.

The Workstation is a Sun Blade 2000,

1.2 Gigahertz Ultra Sparc III
2 Gigs of Ram
Solaris 8.0
10k rpm 74 gig hard drive
21 inch delux monitor
Uprated graphics Card
Some kind of pimp nizzy network card
yada yada

As far as the work, it will mostly be used for ADAMS simulation, Matlab and I-deas. For right now, I literally only will use it for a 3270 based timekeeping terminal emulator. Which if you don't know, basically requires 2 Mhz of computing power maybe 512kb of RAM. The reason being is that my current project uses a software called Nsoft that is being served from an HP, so it gets all jacked on the Sun boxes. I am using Exceed to Telnet onto an HP to do all my UNIX work on my dell PC. But once I leave in two weeks (I am a mechanical engineering intern, back to school I go) hopefully someone will confiscate it around here and use the beast. Ahhh corporate in-efficency at its best.

He unmounted the home slice! That sh!t is WHACK, YO! A brotha should NEVA unmount his home slice, n'awmsayin?

Wow, and folks thought that my original post had some bad english. What really happened was I was inspired by the worlds strongest man contest that I saw on ESPN2 last week. So instead of throwing a keg, I picked up the Sun Blade 2000 and tried to see if I could take out 3 or 4 ceiling tiles above my cube. Only got 2, but boy was it fun. Suns sure are sturdy! Very little plastic deformation!

I didn't see your original post. My bad english was intentional, however.
