So, theoretical question about vodka.

Don't ask how this came up. What would happen if you straight chugged a bottle of vodka in, say, under a minute? Would you throw it all up almost immediately, a bit later? Or would it just stay in your system and kill you?

Just curious. Don't try it. But if you do try it, post results before dying

The next thing you would hear would be...."Hello and welcome to Hell. Would you like a room next to Hitler, Stalin, or George Burns?"

I imagine either you would die or get real drunk or both and 10-1 vomit would be involved.

I'm sure there are plenty of people that can and have done it.

But I imagine you'll just get sick, if you could even come close to downing the whole thing.

You wouldn't pysically be able to chug a whole bottle without vomiting in the middle of it. I can guarantee this.

Err...it's vodka. So, 80 proof.

I'm not sure the size of the bottle really matters THAT much, but let's go for the gusto and say it's a handle (1.75L).

What do you mean the size of the bottle doesen't matter? :Q

What would be easier to drink, a quart, half gallon, or gallon of milk? heh

Well, if you theoretically did drink it all and didnt throw up you would get alchohol poisioning and need to be taken to the hospital for detox.

But, what is the weight of the person doing it and how much do they drink?

a 500 pound alcholoic man would have and easier time with it then a 120 pound 16 year old girl

Are you sure? Vodka can go down surprisingly smooth, I've taken a few quintuple shots before and if it's cold it really isn't that bad. Besides which, what if instead of chugging you just beer-bonged it?

I guess vodka-bonged would be more appropriate.

That is how people die while drinking.

It isn't really recommended.

Due to the amount of alcohol entering your bloodstream at such a fast rate, your liver would not get a chance to filter your bloodstream, your internal organs would shutdown either before or after you have choked to death on your own vomit, thats if you could even manage downing it without gagging.

I have alcoholics in my family, ive researched things like this, as I know people who make comments like "Oh I can drink x amount in 1 minute and be fine", its bullsh1t, you would die.

Nope. That much alcohol being flushed into the system all at one time will induce vomiting almost immediately.

I mean if we're talking about chugging a bottle of vodka here (with a range of 750ml - 1.75L) then the question isn't really about whether or not you're consuming a lot of alcohol. The question is about what happens when you take much more than any human body can possibly stand in 30 seconds.

Just for the record, some vodka is available in higher proof varieties, for instance, Smirnoff has a 100 pf offering.

As long as it isn't the 11.99 handle of burton vodka it might go down smooth.
