So the Yeti may actually be an extinct bear species and not Nancy Grace? I am disapoint.

And since when do fossils have actual strands of hair with viable DNA in them?

Since at least 2001, apparently
Meh, dinosaur fossils contributed to legends of dragons, who's to say that bear fossils haven't contributed to legends of yeti?

In fact, that makes a hell of a lot more sense than a species of hominid that lives on several continents and is so ninja-like that the most conclusive evidence of their existence comes from a blurry picture of a reflection on a hubcap.

Indeed.

I carry a magical Anti~Yeti rock in my pocket. I bought it online for a low low price of $19.95, plus a couple hundred for shipping and handling... Guaranteed 100% effective! And, for sure I have never seen a Yeti, nor has one been sighted anywhere in the area.

Bigfoot is immune to anti-yeti measures and since you both are in California.....

The sample from Ladakh came from the mummified remains of a creature shot by a hunter around 40 years ago. He considered the animal so unusual, and so alarming, he kept some of its remains. A sample of the hair was passed to Professor Sykes by a French mountaineer who was given it by the hunter around a decade ago. The second sample was in the form of a single hair, found in a bamboo forest by an expedition of filmmakers, also around ten years ago.

The provenance of the samples is a bit suspect.

A bear, even an old version, still looks like a bear. How can you shoot a bear and not realize it's a bear?

A single hair, found by a film crew looking for bigfoot?

Oh, by the way, if I see a Yeti I'm going to hunt it, kill it and smile really big and Fakebook selfie it, and then let starving Africans eat it. And after that, I'm going to get my own Yeti hunting reality show called Yeti Dynasty where I make Yeti calls out of 2 old hunting boots sewn together that I bang on trees and rocks to call the elusive Yeti's.

They prefer to be called Sasquatch-Americans.

Personally I think ruling out Nancy Grace is premature.
