Asks me "Where did I go to meet women online?" (we were out earlier at a place she picked, but I said I didn't want to go too...an ex came up to me and mentioned I was always there so long ago)

So I show her, and do the searches I would have done back then.

Funny thing is it's been almost 4 years since I have.

These chicks did look like their pics for the most part, there were some I bailed on that did not.

Most of the chicks I didn't bail on, are still using the same pics they sent me. 4 years is not a long time I will say...but I doubt anyone looks the same 4 years later.

Some of their 'names' have changed though.

Some people don't age very much though.

I know when I was 17 I looked like I was around 17. And now at 23, most say I look around 18.

And online dating is meh.... especially if it was chat room style; seriously trashy people in those places.
 
I was a barfly for a while many years ago and met all the locals that hang around in the bars in my town. I quit going for 5 years. I started hitting the bars again, and all the same people I knew from before were still there. It was like a twilight zone episode. Those people's lives hadn't progressed at all in 5 years.

I will agree with you on this, sort of the point of my posting...Thanks TallBill! I have been to a few bars too that I have seen people I have known in the past.

Yet with the online aspect....they portray themselves as timeless.

I never did the 'dating chatrooms', I don't care for cybersex or spending months chatting until you 'meat'. If I am interested, let's go out on a date or forget about it.

I was regularly going out, at the end of my bad nights, or nights I met noone, or nights I had no time to meet someone, I browsed ads on Yahoo (slutty) and at the time love.aol.com (now match.com)...most of the time I could at least strike up some conversation.

I was dumb enough to go to a Walmart Supercenter, and needless to say the produce wasn't looking too good. I did buy Iams and now my cat's breath smells like cat food.
