I think a lot of the surveillance isn't about individuals but about businesses. Imagine knowing what businesses are doing and when. This would be ultimate insider trading scam. Personally I think Obama likes these scandals. I think he would like foreign businesses afraid to do biz with US businesses. I think he likes people afraid to form non-profits etc. Its a very wicked admin. Bush set up the FISA courts for "foreign" surveillance. Obama's crew turned it domestic

yes, i am. just we haven't seen a situation yet where they've got to "be it."

we DO, know about the plot to take out the occupy leaders... it's out, it's real, deal with it.

now tell me they wont massacre your ass if you march on the capitol...

i wont be anywhere near that place if something like that happens.. it is NOT a big deal for them to wide out the entire march.. and you know, the way they have the media cartel at there beckon whim... it wont be televised... it'll go underground quick...

Have you ever set foot in Egypt in your entire life? I'm nearly certain the answer is no. You have no idea what their government was like/is like.

The rest of your post is just ignorant and insane paranoia. Seek help. Well, first go seek out some knowledge, then go seek some help.

i think Obama likes that, whatever he does now.. in 30 years, he'll be the "transparent president"

and that's good.... but it's a free ride to clean house at the same time, and still maintain public image of that which he will..

certain underground sources have stated already, basically what we'll see in the last of this presidency, is a model.. to get out of whatever shenanigans you've been up to.... because examples are already in the courty system of ways to circumvent the law, and not go to jail......it's a model.. we are cleaning house, but we're giving a "golden parachute" to all the others who've not been in the intense eye of the judicial system, because those at the very top will get off easy.. use it... use the model.. if your up to no good... use it, get out free, and then move on...

it's really simple.

How naive are you/we to NOT believe that every country spies in some form/fashion on every other country? The Chinese steal the equivalent of $300 B from the US in stolen tech each year yet Snowden gets praise for telling everyone what we already knew in the first place?

Come on people ...

I do have my own opinion, one that is likely better informed than yours is. The worst part is that it is quite likely that there's no amount of evidence that will change your opinion.

without a doubt. prison population should tell you that

/facepalm

Why don't you go to Washington and protest against the government and then go to Cairo and do the same.

Tell me how that all works out for you and if your opinion has changed. Furthermore, by your measure the US is likely more oppressive than North Korea and New Zealand is more oppressive than Saudi Arabia.

Hopefully by this point you've realized what a retarded position that is.

THe US is losing its influence in the world and that is something that we all need to address.

Actually, let me expand that. It's the western world in general. The "west" has become soft and complacent and full of people lacking testicular fortitude. This is not just its leaders, but its citizens Hell, I include myself in this. What the hell happened???

I'm sorry, but if you believe that the US is the equivalent of North Korea there is simply no grounds for us to discuss this. We are simply not living on the same planet.

The "war" on drugs can account for much of that population. If it would make you happy we can legalize all controlled substances ... which will cause their prices to plummet ... which will make these drugs both more affordable for the masses and less attractive to produce. The effects of this policy might well be very painful ... especially if one of you loved ones ODs on these now "legal" substances.

People want what they want even when they are stupid. Read my sig ...

the 'war on drugs' is part of the oppression we are talking about in this thread..

go get caught with a joint in turkey, or syria, or any other fucking country in the world..

you know what??? you wont. they dont do that, that's oppression to the fullest extent, and a violation of human rights to the utmost pinnacle.
