So the tap water isn't safe to drink anymore..but why would they shut off the soda fountain drinks too?

At my school they closed off all the water fountains so people wouldn't drink the water..but they also shut off all the soda fountain machines too. Why would they do that? Do they make soda with tap water, or what?

Wow, that is strange. I know at my school, they have the kitchen staff pour bottled Perrier into the fountain machines as necessary. There is no risk of contamination there.

From what I remembered working at the Target Snack bar (In High School) The water gets filtered before it gets carbonated.

yea, wouldn't filtration help out with the cleaning up the water or was there a massive sewage leak that got into the resevoir that no one is telling us about.

btw, they gave the clearance to that the water is safe but they still advise you to boil...
