So the prick at eb games the other day

spaceman

Lifer
i walk into eb games, i got the counter and ask the gentelmen..do you have ANY fishing games in stock, new or used for ps2..i didnt even finsih my sentence when he started shaking his head and smiling..he replies:no as soon as they come in the store they are gone...
i said:fishing games? since when is there a run on fishing games?..okay whatever.

so i continue to browse..a little irritated that he wouldnt even check the inventory.

and all of a sudden theres fishermans challenge sitting right in the used section of ps2 games..for $7.99 no less.

i picked it up and checked it out with the other guy who was working..the guy who initially waited on me was with another customer.

i didnt make a scene or even confront the guy as it would have been an utter waste of time.

years ago i worked at eb for a few months.i never treated customers liked this and i also know they have a very easy to search POS system...but this new breed of asstools are just too much for me to deal with:|

he acted as if i was asking for an xbox 360!

oh no, discrimination...

i dont think its discrimination as much as it is them fvckheads taking delight in telling someone they do not have it in stock.
if you dont feel like doing your job the correct way, dont fvcking work there.

i was one of three customers in the entire store..all he had to do was punch a few buttons and he would have had a correct answer.
i wasnt like i was asking him to scour the shelves!

He was probably a new hire. I hate new hires that don't want to do the fscking work they were hired to do. I've had that problem, but not so bad, at my store.

I work at Game Daze, a board game and card game store in a mall. One of my new hires the other day was like "OMG I feel like such a fscking tool!" I was perplexed and asked why. He then held up a $50 hand held game of Hearts and said "I had a lady in earlier asking if we had an electronic hearts game. I told her no." I shook my head, and asked if he even looked, his reply was no.

I wanted to fire him for that 🙁 I hate new hires. I really do. At least he recognized his mistake, but still, it was too late.

heh. my wife *allegedly* got a lot of attitude last year when she was looking for KOTOR at one of the EB Games stores.

i said, "honey, that's just the way geeks are. you probably pronounced it wrong and you offended him." 🙂

well, it makes no difference now. Maybe you shoud've taken that anger and used it towards something worthwhile, like confronting the guy or his manager.

...or that the geeks arent accustomed to having *women* ask about video games, might be quite a shock for 'em 😉

eb employees are total douche bags. they try to get you to pay for bs extended "warranty" on everything you buy. one store wouldn't even let me buy a psp unless I bought their exclusive warranty. I told them to fvck off and went elsewhere.
