I thought Michelle Williams and Salma Hayek were the hottest babes there. Was there some other reason to watch?

Not since that thing called the internet came out. We shouldn't be able to use that as an excuse for watching garbage...30 seconds of Googling can get you what you spent a few hours to see. 🙂

salma looked amazing...cant believe she is 39

I saw her on the tonight show a few night's ago in a red dress. She looked fabulous.

Don't usually watch the Oscars but I made an exception this year. I actually enjoyed Jon Stewart as host. Overall it was entertaining.

I don't get what you guys are talking about. It was a bad year for movies as a whole, and out of all the nominee's, Crash Definetely deserved it more then the others. Which did you want to win?

Best Motion Picture of the Year
Winner:

Crash (2004) - Paul Haggis, Cathy Schulman
Other Nominees:

Brokeback Mountain (2005) - Diana Ossana, James Schamus

Capote (2005) - Caroline Baron, William Vince, Michael Ohoven

Good Night, and Good Luck. (2005) - Grant Heslov

Munich (2005) - Steven Spielberg, Kathleen Kennedy, Barry Mendel

anything but crash...i really disliked that movie and I know many other people who felt the same way

I have never heard any of the other movies making some critics "worst movie of the year" I know it made a lots best movie of the year, but it also made a couple critics worst movie and i dont think a movie like that should win the best picture

just to show Rottentomatoes has
Brokeback Mountain got 86% positive reviews and an average of 8.1 outta 20 rating
Copote 91%, 8.2
Good Night and Good Luck 94% and 8.2
Munich 78% and 7.5
Crash 77%, 7.2

so critics have it as the worst of the nominated movies.

and I am not one who normally cares what critics think, but I hated this movie and I know a lot of other people felt the same as I did, I understand why people liked it, and I dont want to argue if it was good or not because it is a matter of opinion, but I cant remember a time when the best picture was hated by more people then crash is hated by

IMDB
Crash 8.4/10 41,550 votes
Brokeback Mountain 7.9/10 33,818 votes
Capote 8.0/10 6,714 votes
Munich 7.7/10 17,135 votes
Good Night and Good Luck 7.9/10 9,304 votes

the reason i picked rottentomatoes is because the rankings are done by critics

Saw some of it, and thought Seymour Hoffman deserved best actor. I thought he should have gotten it back when he did Along came Poly with Stiller. He's line when he says "Dude, I just sharted" cracks me up every friggn time. Anyone else is gonna agree to that?

I thought Hoffman should have won it and I'm glad he did finally, but if you had to pick from all his movies in the past he should have won it for, Along Came Polly would have been one of the last. Are you serious?

Ok. He was the only good thing about that movie (well other than Jen Aniston). "LET IT RAIN!"

He completely steals every scene in that movie. Another movie where he has a small part but makes it great is in Boogey nights when he plays simon. The part in that movie that i love is when he tries to make a move on Dirk and Dirk shoots him down. Then he sits in his car and starts sobbing and say, "I'm a phucking idiot" over and over again. Absolutely funniest and most bizarre scene in that movie. He's really talented. He's also in the new Mission Impossible movie, check out the trailer.

If you want to see him in fantastic roles, check out Love Liza and 25th Hour.

I don't care for a bunch of Hollywood elites patting each other on the back 5 times a year.

Jealous much?

Who isn't. The money, the bitches, the cars, the fame, the money, and did I mention the bitches?

Unless you had watched you wouldn't have known what to google for. Unless you think googling for the hottest babes at the Oscars would get you the same results.

I'm still fuming over "Crash"'s win. bah.

And it was great seeing Zhang Ziyi...she's been working hard on the accent, but it's still pretty thick which was surprising.

crash was a good movie.

hahahahahahaha...woo thats a good one 🙂

i stormed out of the room when it won...

I was laughing at the movie because the characters were so unbelievable

God-damnit, they were not supposed to be believable. The ****** movie was just a vehicle for issues concerning race. ok?
