ummmmm... IIRC the Vichy was supported by a rather large population of French Citizens. Not to mention the French Army was so fvcking retarded throughout the entire war. IIRC the resistance kiled more Nazis in WW2 then the Army.

Ummm... IIRC we payed them back twice for the Revolution (in the 2 World Wars). And that guy completely ignores the fact that the French Army was stupid during their short service in WWII. They were pompous and assumed their defenses would hold. The common French solider might have been bada$$, but their generals were pompous incompetent old guys who drank too much wine for the most part.

If your going to bring up De Gaulle, remember that he also made SURE it was HIS FREE FRENCH TROOPS who were the first to march into Paris, which slowed up the entire surrounding force for a day or 2. He did this because he wanted to be seen as the conquering hero.

As for nowadays, the French refused to get involved in anything that doesn't directly benefit them. As for Chirac, the French people reelected him in 2002. Seems he's pretty well liked.

And if your going to bring up the American people reelecting Bush... Honestly, would John Kerry have been any better? If anything he was a douchebag. I'd rather have a well meaning stupid President then a supposedly smart politicized douchebag.
