So the couple in the hotel room next door was "noisy"...

I have heard stories of this happening but never experienced it until last night. I am here at a Marriott hotel in St. Louis. I had a 6:00 AM wake-up and have to present a seminar from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM today. In short, I needed my sleep.

I am woken up at 2:00 AM this morning by the couple next door. Oh yeah, complete with woman moaning/screaming in ecstasy and the sound of the bed knocking rhythmically against the wall, the same wall as where the head of my bed is located.

I mean, it wasn't arousing at all. Maybe funny at first, then simply obnoxious, as they lasted a good 30-45 minutes. Good for them I suppose. They are now resting peacefully as it seems like no one is stirring next door.

So, has this happened to anyone else? What did you do?

No, I am not posting the exact hotel name, phone number, and room number. Though the ATOT effect on the room next door would be hilarious...

Why not call the hotel desk clerk and have them go to the room and hear it for them self? They would kick them out on their bare naked butts. What if you had kids in your room? You would not tolerate it for a second. That is just rude and they were well aware they were being loud and entertaining the hotel guests, most likely above and below their room, too. That is what those cheap pay by the hour hotels are for. And also if it was just a short outburst, it might be socially acceptable. But to have it go on and on for 30 minutes to nearly an hour? That is just nasty and obnoxious. Way past time to take out the trash.

Reminds me of a time one night me and my friends were going to swim in my condo pool, and I looked down from my balcony to see 2 naked beasts going at it hard and heavy in the water. Needless to say, I was suddenly not in the mood for a swim with someone else's juices. Ugh. I called the law, and the law won. There is a time and a place for that sort of thing. That is what they make those cheap plastic pools for.

In my first apartment, I was slightly aroused one evening at about 3am when I awoke to the sounds of the bed in the room above me doing the rhythmic sway.

When I told me roommate the next morning, he informed me the guy above us was into men.

I lol'd so hard at that my coworker had to come see what was so funny.

Im feel so sorry for you on so many levels I just don't even know where to begin. I guess I feel MORE sorry for any woman who goes home with you regardless of how much you pay her.

I gotta stop laughing or I'll pull something.

People enjoy sex...not everyone is a kid trying to be as loud as possible.

Anyway if you are living/staying in any communal type dwelling (condo/apartment/dorms/hotel) this is part of what one should find reasonable. People have sex esp on vacation.

If it really bothers one the higher level hotels/dwellings have much better sound proofing...many mount the headboard to the wall itself so that it doesn't bang.

What I used to do when younger and staying at cheaper hotels was to just jam a couple pillows between the headboard and wall.

Ahh, so you are admitting to it, then!

Please, drag that so called coworker over to give you funny looks at this post, too. Maybe get human resources into the comedy act, too. Unless you are over that department. =P

Really? You mean I am not supposed to have sex if I pay more than $50/night. Damn man, I was hoping to impress some girls with a nice hotel room but I guess not.

I get to deal with this at least 4 nights of the week from the apartment above me. I wouldn't mind it so much if they could start around 10pm when I'm not trying to sleep instead of waking me up at 2 or 3am.

My neighbors used to be noisy like that when I lived downstairs. I would just bang on the ceiling and tell them to STFU. I'm sure it ruined the mood a couple times.

FTW!

I've had to use this trick too. It works great to keep the bed quiet, and if your girl cant keep quiet, use another pillow for her. Its just plain rude to let your woman go full symphany in a cheap hotel. If you stay in a incer hotel, expect better insulation so have at it!

I get plenty, and I don't have to drag some paid skank to a hotel to prove it. Anyone who rates his puny manliness based on how loud and obnoxious you can be in public is a caveman and has issues.

I never said that. But if you feel the need to broadcast it, you got issues. If you are with a screamer, maybe consider a tent in the woods next time, or a travel trailer, or some other accommodations. Maybe invest in a good ball gag.

You should have started making a rapid thumping against the wall, accompanied by, "Oh god, Jenna Jameson*! Yeah! You're so hot!!!!"

*or any pornstar of your choice.

This sort of noisemaking strikes me as well as being rather rude, especially in a place meant for sleeping. People don't need to verbalize everything. Of course, maybe they're both blind, and auditory cues are the only thing they have to be sure that they're doing it right.
